For my TED talk assignment I choose to watch and write about Haas and Hahn and their “How paintings Transform communities.” In this video they talked about how Haas and Hahn went to this community where they make their own homes but some were unfinished due to low income. So, what Haas and Hahn did was help finish these homes and created a beautiful painting on the house. This painting was of a boy flying a kite. Yet the kite wasn’t in the picture so all you could see was the boy holding the string to the kite. Making the house stunning and inspiring. It turned a dull community into a piece of art work. The next project they did was an area where the community put cement down to prevent mudslides from happening. It was a eye soar to look at. But with help from a talented tattoo artist and community volunteers they turned that eye soar into a beautiful piece of art. This added lots of color to their dull community and honestly they needed it.

Another project they did was on one of the poorest neighborhood in the United States. Here what they did was took a whole street and helped turn the boring slumps on the town into artwork. They helped many people by just fixing up their homes and painting them. But, again this was not an average paint job. It was a huge masterpiece that just really stood out. They did this to the whole street. This whole street was just gorgeous to look at. They’ve used so many different colors and different designs that I wouldn’t have done to a house. Like he took regular paintings of colorful, textured houses and made them real. In the end it help the community by not only by helping them become closer but it also helped how they felt about their homes. This made a difference.
